- **5-year Somfy motor warranty**.

How do I clean my awning?

Accepted Answer

Brush loose debris off the fabric when it's dry. For marks, use lukewarm water and a soft brush — never detergent, jet-wash or bleach, which strip the water-repellent finish.

Let the fabric dry fully before retracting to prevent mildew.

Do you offer servicing?

Yes, awnings services can be arranged by contacting team@auraawnings.co.uk

We recommend an annual service, arm lubrication, motor check, fixing torque check and fabric inspection. This materially extends the life of the awning.

Do I need to take my awning down in winter?

Accepted Answer

No — full-cassette awnings are designed to stay in place year-round. When retracted, the cassette fully protects the fabric.

Just avoid extending the awning when it's frozen, snowing or gusting.

Question 5

What happens if I move house?

Accepted Answer

The warranty stays with the awning if it stays at the property. If you want to move the awning to a new home, we can quote for uninstall, transport and re-install — the warranty then continues from the new install date on the parts we've refixed.
